A friend took a peek inside my closet recently and was bewildered to find that at least 75% of my wardrobe consists of dresses. In fact, I own less than 5 pairs of pants in total. (If not for a few frigid San Francisco winter weeks, I wouldn't own slacks at all.) Hey, whatever makes us girls happy, right. ;)
Blu Pepper Dress (a few other great high-low dresses: here, here, and here) and Belt (similar), F21 Envelope Clutch (similar picks here and here) and Bangles (another fabulous pick), H&M Bracelet (similar), Pierre Dumas Sandals (other good picks here and here), Michael Kors Sunglasses

I'm particularly loving dresses with high-low hems right now...so fresh and fun! In keeping with the Aztec-inspired theme for the look, I paired this fun, Aztec print dress with similar shapes - a pyramid bangle, envelope clutch with gold V-shaped opening, and strappy sandals.
I've got travel on my mind lately. Over the past week, when not working, catching up with friends, or blogging, I've been busy planning for my upcoming trips to Germany and the Netherlands. I'll be in Cologne, Germany for a week-long conference and also plan to spend a few days in Berlin and Amsterdam in order to sightsee, eat, and (of course) shop! I'm especially excited to visit Berlin...in addition to its myriad of history and cultural sights that I look forward to checking out, Berlin has also put itself on the map as an emerging hotspot for fashion and design. Luckily, my company is paying for my flight, hotel, and meals, which means more trip budget for shopping. ;) I've been spending a lot of time researching and putting together my itinerary, and I'd also love to hear what your favorite spots are in these cities.
For those of you who have been, what are your favorite places to eat and shop in Berlin, Cologne, or Amsterdam? If not, what destinations are at the top of your travel wish list?
Wishing you all a happy Wednesday!
Love, S
I am loving the high-low hemline trend right now. I actually don't own any with that right now, unfortunately, but I found a great DIY for a high-low hemline skirt! I just need to thrift a really cute longer skirt first.
ReplyDeleteDIY sounds like a fantastic option! I'd love to see the finished product after you try it out. :)

Very cute dress! I love those strappy sandals with it. And your bracelets are perfect with the gold tone accents in your whole look. :)

I love the high-low hem too. Although being on the shorter side I've been having a hard time finding one that hits me at the right places. Or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough because yours is lovely!

Hello fellow SF blogger! And you're totally right about the frigid weather, ugh! Haha. That's a really fantastic dress! Not quite sure when my own love affair with high-low dresses will be over, but I love how its both edgy and romantic at the same time. Love how you paired it with those simple strappy sandals and that gorgeous clutch!
